Voting Question: New home odor.?
I moved into a new home about 8 months ago that has a septic tank. Lately I have noticed a sink hole forming around where the septic tank is burried. There is no water or odor coming from the hole. But we called the builder since our house is still under warranty and they said that they would fill the hole up with dirt. Could they have put a defective septic tank in my home? I am new to this septic tank thing...I am a city girl who moved to the county.
Resolved Question: Will my oak tree make it?
I recently built a new home and the builder planted two oak trees (believe they are live oak) in the front yard. One is doing very well, but all of the leaves are brown on the other. It was doing fine until a storm the other morning that caused it to lean, a few days after that all the leaves turned brown. We restaked and straightened the tree out and I have been giving it water every other day. When I scratch a limb it is green on the inside, but no new leaves have sprouted yet. Any suggestions?
Voting Question: New home odor.?
We built a home and have been it for appx 1month. When we open the patio door and other windows a strong natural gas smell is noticed. We called th local utility company and they checked our home and could not find any leaks. The funny thing about this is that when the windows and doors are shut we do not notice any odors. Also, when we go outside there is no odor. The builder is also stumped as he has never had this occur before. We are not sure where it is coming from as it can be smelled throughout the home when the doors are open. I have noticed when I am coming up the basement stairs the odor is strongest when I get appx 5 steps from the top. It is not natural gas as the utility company checked all the lines inside and out.
